Welcome to Walker Weekly, a regularly scheduled newsletter where I share things that I find interesting, useful, inspiring, or thought-provoking. If you have anything of your own that falls into these categories, please let me know in the comments! I’m always looking for new inspiration.
Work of art I’m admiring
Among the Sierra Nevada, California by Albert Bierstadt. We saw this painting (or, what may be a reproduction of the painting) at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas this weekend. The painting is 72 inches tall x 120 inches wide. The scale makes for an impressive effect.
Blog post I’m reading
How I Changed My Mind and Ate Less by Tynan.
Quote I’m pondering
“What should young people do with their lives today? Many things, obviously. But the most daring thing is to create stable communities in which the terrible disease of loneliness can be cured.”
Kurt Vonnegut
That’s all for this week, thanks a lot for following along!
Stay curious,
Walker
