Current Work

I am the first hire and founding member of the data team at Gluroo. We’re building the world’s first diabetes management app that supports collaboration across caregivers.

Type 1 diabetes is a unique and challenging disease to manage, especially for children. Our app creates what is effectively a family group chat (including any other caregivers like school nurses, babysitters, etc.) that gives everyone access to mission-critical information (insulin doses, current blood glucose levels, meals) at all times across all devices.

I’m also working part time on my Master’s of Data Science at UT Austin.

Other Experience

During my undergrad at UT Austin (2014-2018), I worked at UT’s Nuclear Engineering Teaching Lab (NETL). I qualified to operate the reactor in 2017. I worked at NETL part time during my studies and later full time as a research engineer supporting reactor operations.

Clients I worked with included national labs like Los Alamos and Sandia, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA DOD).

About Me

  • I am born and raised in Austin, Texas – one of the few OGs who still remain. Despite (or perhaps because of) the fact that I haven’t left my birthplace, I am lucky to have traveled around quite a bit and spent a few months living in other states and countries while working remotely.
  • I spend a lot of time reading books. My current favorite authors are John Steinbeck and Cormac McCarthy, but I read anything and everything: biographies, sci-fi/fantasy, classical literature, business and self-improvement, etc.
  • I’m really into foil sports like wake foiling and wing foiling (“winging”).
